Paradise 4 Paws

Coming back after the pandemic with a hyper local public relations approach

As one of Chicago’s best PR agencies for lifestyle brands, Bettie Bomb launched the first Paradise 4 Paws concept at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport in 2008 and since then has jumped on board to help promote multiple new markets, including Dallas and Denver.

Media Relation Goals

Build brand awareness in new markets, specifically Dallas and New Jersey

Re-engage media in existing markets, such as Chicago, with new ideas to remind consumers they’ve reopened after the pandemic

Bring traffic back to the reopened shops while minimizing the impact from closing due to the pandemic

Company Overview

Paradise 4 Paws is the premier resort for cats and dogs located near Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports, Denver International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The Needs

Paradise 4 Paws had to close multiple locations due to the pandemic. They also struggled with consistent messaging after opening new markets and acquiring POOCH Hotel. Under this circumstance, Paradise 4 Paws needed a Chicago PR agency with a national portfolio to build an impactful, memorable narrative for their locations.

The Solution

Bettie Bomb worked with Paradise 4 Paws to develop many angles including how to acclimate your newly adopted dog when returning back to work after quarantine, plus worked with internal promotions such as Rescue Dog Welcome Week and Operation Rescue-19. We focused on hyperlocal markets surrounding each location, which is key to targeting the appropriate consumers for each area.

The Results

We garnered earned media in multiple markets, focusing on educational takeaways for media opportunities to engage viewers and position Paradise 4 Paws as the authorities in their industry. Today, Paradise 4 Paws continues to expand nationwide, and we were happy to reconnect with them on this post-COVID project to get consumers back in the door.
